Week 10 | March 20 – 24 | Normal Heart & Seminar Paper Proposal

  • Seminar Paper Proposal Due: Wednesday, March 22 by 5:00 pm
  • RR #9: Normal Heart
  • FYC: Watch And the Band Played On,”The Eighties: Episode 3: The AIDS Crisis” (Netflix), or We Were Here (Netflix) for background information on the discovery of AIDS and its impact on queer lives.
  • FYC: Watch The Normal Heart (HBO – available with a free trial on Amazon — sometimes, it’s easier to read a play if you’ve seen it performed. The film is significantly different from the play, but watching it first might help you with reading it if you’re not used to reading dramatic texts.)

Week 11 | March 27 – 31 | Angels in America
