This book showed how to provide comfort to children who lost loved ones in some tragic incident. It also provided explanations to grief and how soon it takes to turn grief into happy memories
3. No Matter What by: Debi Gliori
This book showed examples of Monster Calls because, no matter the situation Connerās mom always loved him. That was the same in this book, showing love no matter the circumstances.
4. The Scar by: Charlotte Mieville
In this book they supported grief and how to vent your emotions in positive manners. This book is the same as Monster Calls because both boys in these books losses there mother to cancer.
Adult Novels
1. Waiting for the Storm by: Marie Landry
This story explains how being alone can cause grief. With the absence of this mother he falls into a fall of loneliness. This was a form of grieving in a way.
2. Far From You by: Lisa Schroeder
In the story Monster Calls Conner lost his mom to cancer. In this story this young kid did as well, she copes with grief by writing music. On the other Can Connorās was different.
3. How to Save a Life by: Sara Zarr
This story is more based on wishing the normal things would still be the same. Life changed in both of these stories with almost similar grieving.
Non-Fiction
1. On Eagles Wings by: Katherine Holubitsky
This story explains grief quite directly. She loses her mother to suicide that bring her almost down to knowing. The way she handles grief was totally different from Connor.
Graphic Novel
1. Foiled by: Jane Yolen
I thought this book related because Connor was never noticed either until he beat up Harry. This was an example of being unnoticed like Connor and this both is this story.
