Social Justice – Level Three

0 Points

It’s easy to imagine that someone else, in another community or state, that there are social justice issues, but that maybe it’s not like that here. Your final challenge to earn the Social Justice in Education badge is to apply your reading to a local context.

  1. Building on the book you read and the videos you watched, identify a social justice issue that impacts your home community OR our local community of Greenville / ECU.
  2. Using an additional 6 – 10 source that help you to understand how your social justice issue functions locally, develop a position paper of 1500 – 2000 words that explains the issue, how it functions at the larger level, how it functions at a more local level, how severe/significant this issue is locally, and what might be done to address or solve the issue.
  3. Be sure to put the PDFs of your sources, if available, in your Google Drive folder for this badging pathway. If you use local website information (stats, data, etc), then you will include links in your References page.
  4. Reflection
  5. Claim Code: 7C5-FB85-ED8
