In the course ENGL 1100, with Professor Stephanie West-Puckett, I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) for the first time. Unsurprisingly, I received the same result after taking the test for this course. My personality type is said to be INFJ, which is the acronym for introvert, intuitive, feeling, and judging. I received sixty-two percent in introversion, twenty-eight percent in intuition, sixteen percent in feeling, and fifty percent in judging. As soon as I saw the word judging, I was a tad bit disappointed, that is, until I navigated back to the website. There, the definition of judging was explained as someone needing closure and preferring firm decisions. For this reason, I took it upon myself to research my character based on the given results.
After reading the article, THE INFJ PERSONALITY TYPE (“THE ADVOCATE”), I came to conclusion that this test is exceedingly accurate. The article delivered information by using subtitles:strengths and weaknesses. romantic relationships, friendships, parents, career paths, and workplace habits. Each word that I read within this article resonated with me. For an example, my strengths were listed as creative, insightful, inspiring and convincing, decisive, determined and passionate, along with altruistic. On the other hand, my weaknesses were listed as sensitive, extremely private, I always need to have a cause, and I burn out easily. After reading the list, I agreed completely. I could give a lengthy example for each strength and weakness listed; however, I will save that for a later date. All in all, these preferences resonate with me.
Impressive drawing, Jacinta! Wow!
