After taking the MBTI test, my results read that my personality type was INFJ. I feel like this personality type described me very well. One thing really stuck out to me is that we are deeply concerned about our relations with individuals as well as the state of humanity at large. I always find myself worrying about everyone else. I would rather the people around me to be comfortable before myself, even in situation involving strangers. It’s also stated that usually self expression comes more easily to INFJs on paper and they have strong writing skills. This describes me exactly. Sometimes I have a hard time verbally saying how I feel, so I have to write it down. The only thing that didn’t resonate with me is that INFJs have a knack to fluency in language and facility in communication.

I think my personality says that’s I’m an observant learner. Introverts tend to listen instead of talk. Because we are feeling people we are capable of accurately reproducing received information, especially if associated with feelings. Also INFJs love a challenge, so when complex material is presented we tend to get excited. I completely agree with this, especially when it comes to math.

My classroom is very simple. I have a room with three windows because I like the openness that gives the room. I hate a huge interactive white board that covers most of the wall because technology has become the so important in education. Lastly, I have individual desks with very comfortable seats and rolling desks that can be adjusted to your liking. I made my classroom simple because I don’t need a lot of things that are distracting.

Do you see any connections between your personality and the sort of classroom you developed?
