My name is Jacinta Cofield and I am twenty years old. I am from Windsor, North Carolina, I have one sibling and a strong, encouraging mother. Here, at East Carolina University, I major in Interior Design. In high school, I was a cheerleader for all four years, a part of the Student Government Association, and the Future Business Leaders Association: I was inducted into The BETA Club and I was Valedictorian of my high school graduating class. For those accomplishments coupled with others, I received the Access Scholars Scholarship from East Carolina University.
One of my passions are assisting others in their time of need. When I help others, the problems of my own fade; therefore, I am determined to become a licensed interior designer to rejuvenate, build, and or decorate shelters for the homeless. I have learned that nothing is easily given in life and if it is, then I have not worked to my full potential. My life has not been easy and until this day, my mother tells my sister and I, “The knowledge or wisdom you gain, no one can take it away from you.”
