Of course, throughout High School I was taught to write in MLA format. I hated it because, I generally hate having to write by someone’s terms. I just think it slows down the flow of my thought because I have worry if I’m writing it correct form. Anyhow, when I got to college I discovered there were so many more styles to write a paper. I was then introduced to the APA style in which we are using in this particular English class. We’ve had to research and learn about this style of writing. However, I don’t think I have actually written a paper in APA yet. Along with studying the APA Format, we have also research how to cite sources correctly. I’m really glad we did this because, I just knew the basics of citing sources. I learned that APA is usually used to cite sources within the social sciences. I also learned that it consists of four major sections: the Title Page, Abstract, Main Body, and the References. This differs from MLA because, MLA does not contain an abstract. In this badge we were also required to watch videos on citing sources, as well as plagiarism. As far as plagiarism goes I knew mostly everything  about it because we have been taught this almost our whole lives. However, there are levels to it and you have to be super careful on using anything that someone else has written. If you even feel like you are copying someone’s work, just cite it to be sure.
